The property includes two cisterns; one 7,500 gallon and one 4,700 gallon which are fed by rain water as well as municipal water. Power is provided by BELCO electric company in Guanaja and the property also includes a 15kw Isuzu diesel generator with auto switch. Internet/cell service is available. This property truly has it all and can be your island oasis!

The island can be purchased either as a title transfer for private ownership or ownership under a Hondurian corporation. The turnkey sale also includes all of the furniture, a fully equipped kitchen, tools, a 25' diesel Navy Whaler, a 20' classic run about boat, and everything else with the exception of the owner's personal items.

DISTANCES

Guanaja is easily accessible from the international airport in Roatan via boat or short flight. Guanaja is known to have some of the best fishing in the world! The island overlooks the Meso-American Reef, which is the world's second largest barrier reef. The island is secluded but close enough to Guanaja to island hop over to Mangrove Bight for shopping.

A LITTLE ABOUT GUANAJA & THE MESO-AMERICAN REEF

Guanaja is one of the Bay Islands of Honduras which find themselves in the Caribbean. It is about 70 kilometres (43 mi) off the north coast of Honduras, and 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) from the island of Roatan. One of the cays off Guanaja, also called Guanaja or Bonacca or Low Cay (or just simply, "The Cay"), is near the main island, and contains most of the approximately 5,538 people who live in Guanaja. The densely populated cay has been described as the Venice of Honduras because of the waterways that run through it. The other two main settlements on Guanaja are Mangrove Bight and Savannah Bight. Smaller settlements include Pelican Reef, East End and North East Bight.

Tourism is confined to a handful of small resorts that cater to divers, snorkelers and adventure travellers. The island's warm, clear waters support an extensive coral reef that is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef and second only to the Great Barrier Reef off the coasts of Australia. Currently, there is still access to fresh water on Guanaja, and several waterfalls can be seen. Since 2021 the entire island and its cays have been designated as a protected Ramsar Site.
