Getting to the Island
Flights from Europe, Australia, Asia, the United States and other connections arrive in Papeete (Faa'a Airport) daily, the hub for all international flights to French Polynesia. From here, you can board a domestic flight on to Rangiroa Airport (approximately a 1 hour flight), set on the busiest part of Rangiroa atoll. There are several daily flights with domestic carrier Air Tahiti between Tahiti and Rangiroa, taking around an hour, or you can fly to Rangiroa from Bora Bora in the Society Islands.
The domestic flight is followed by a short lagoon boat ride which brings you to your private island. Basic supplies, restaurants and shopping, as well as gourmet foods from France and around the world are available in Papeete. Boat transfer takes approximately 1-1.5 hour(s) long and is a great opportunity to take in the beautiful island scenery along the way where more often than not you are able to spot manta rays.
